The Cyprus Youth Council is pleased to announce that coordinates the ‘’Youth Ski(ll)ing to Future’’ project, an Erasmus+ Key Action 1 Youth participation activities project.
The project aims to equip young people with the necessary skills for green and digital transitions, building on the outcomes of the Conference on the Future of Europe, the results of the 9th cycle of the EU Youth Dialogue and the European Year of Youth outcomes, ensuring social fairness. In addition, the project contributes to the European Commission’s 2023 European Year of Skills initiative and promotes reskilling and upskilling to improve employability and align with labour market needs, building on the outcomes of the Conference on the Future of Europe.
In this context, the Cyprus Youth Council will organize a series of eight experiential workshops aimed at developing young people’s life skills and helping them improve their employability, based on the needs of the labour market and a final three-day conference.
The experiential workshops will focus on the following thematic areas:
- Independent living skills and Financial Literacy
- Digital and Media Literacy
- Critical and Analytical Thinking
- Project Management
The final three-day conference aims to facilitate the dialogue between young people, policy and decision-makers in order to enable young people to raise their voices and formulate proposals and recommendations on how youth policies in the areas of employability, education, training, and life-long learning should be shaped and implemented at national and European levels.
