Kyriakos hails from Akaki, a village in the Nicosia district. He is a graduate of the Department of Political Science and History of Panteion University in Athens. In the Cyprus Youth Council, he represents the organization of EDON, in which he is a member of the District Council of Nicosia and Kyrenia. During his school years he was the President of the Nicosia District Coordinating Committee of Students. Throughout his studies, he served as the treasurer of the Board of Directors of the primary student body of Athens (EFEK Athens). He is also a coordinating member of the Youth team of the development company in Akaki, Serrachis.
