Anastasia Andreou

Anastasia Andreou grew up in Kokkinotrimithia and her family originates from occupied Famagusta and Argaki. She is a communications professional specialising in digital media, youth participation and European affairs. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from theUniversity of Cyprus and a Master’s degree in Digital Art and Design from the University of Nicosia. She currently works as a Digital Communications Manager at MSPS Cyprus, where she develops comprehensive communication strategies. In the past, she worked in Brussels as a Content Creator Assistant at Eurodesk, participating in EU communication activities, content production and the coverage of European events. From a young age, Anastasia was curious about what was happening around her, both in her country and in the wider world. Her need to contribute and engage in public affairs emerged early. As a child, she took part in bicommunal events and activities, and later participated in various Erasmus programmes. In 2018, she spent a semester abroad studying at Corvinus University of Budapest, where she first met the organisation she now represents at the Cyprus Youth Council; the Erasmus Student Network. Anastasia has an active and long involvement in the Erasmus Student Network at local, national and international level, having served as President of ESN Cyprus, Communication Manager, and Communication Community Manager at ESN International. Her experience in ESN has been pivotal to her professional and personal development, strengthening her skills in communication, leadership and representation. She speaks Greek, English and Spanish, and is characterised by creativity, digital expertise and a strong European identity. Her main goal is to continue working with the same values she upheld during her volunteering in ESN, contributing in the best possible way and always prioritising the wellbeing of the young people of Cyprus and the youth organisations.
