Gavrilis Efstratiou originates from the occupied Morphou and Paphos, while he was born and raised in Nicosia. He studied Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham, in the UK. Afterwards, he completed his postgraduate degree at University College London (UCL), studying Security Studies. He currently works at the Cyprus National Addictions Authority as a Policy Officer in the field of addictions. His dedication in getting involved with the civil society indicates his interest in youth affairs. He served as the Representative of the Cypriot & Hellenic Society Nottingham, he was a Board Member of the National Federation of Cypriot Students in the UK, and a Board Member of the Nicosia Youth Council of the Municipality of Nicosia. These experiences helped him develop critical thinking, communication and organizational skills. Moreover, he is an active member of Be a Hero Foundation Cyprus. He seeks to use his experience and knowledge for the benefit of the youth, through the promotion and organization of interactive activities and cooperation. He served as the Public Relations Secretary of the Cyprus Youth Council between 2021-2023.
