On February the 23rd, a delegation of 15 Cypriot representatives participated in the “Meet the Champions of Excellence” event hosted by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC). This event explored Vocational Education and Training (VET) job opportunities in the context of the objectives of the European Year of Skills.

Gathering over 500 participants, including 400 young minds, the event provided a platform to experience vocational excellence. Among many, participants engaged in discussions, interactive stands and skills demonstrations, and live sessions focusing on future-oriented skills, learning mobility opportunities, and combatting gender stereotypes within VET.

Key highlights of the event included knowledge-sharing in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), sustainable development, promotion of mobility across the EU and empowering young people irrespective of gender, nationality, and socioeconomic background.
