Nikolas Thomas

Nikolas Thomas is a Cypriot undergraduate student of Political Science, based in Larnaca, where he was born and raised. He graduated from the Pancyprian Lyceum of Larnaca with an overall grade of 18.44 and subsequently completed his mandatory military service. He is currently in the second year of the four-year BA programme in Political Science, with a strong academic interest in public policy, institutions, and youth participation in public life.
He has actively participated in European educational programmes under Erasmus+ in Cyprus and Martinique. In parallel, he has been involved in cultural and heritage-related initiatives, including symposia organised by the UNESCO Associated Schools Network, documentary film festivals, and numerous academic conferences in Cyprus.
In the professional field, he volunteered at the Phoivos Stavridis Foundation (Larnaca Archives) from 2021 to 2023. In 2023, he also contributed to the operation and archival organisation of the Pierides Museum, in collaboration with the Cultural Foundation of the Bank of Cyprus.
He is particularly active in youth engagement and social contribution, maintaining a strong and consistent presence within Rotary youth structures, namely Interact and Rotaract, where he has held leadership roles. He served as President and founding member of the Interact Club of Larnaca (2021–2023), as well as Vice District Interact Representative for Cyprus in District 2452 (2022–2023). He later served as President of the Rotaract Club Larnaca–Kition (2023–2024) and continues as Vice District Rotaract Representative for Cyprus (2024–2026), focusing on volunteerism, community initiatives, and the promotion of social cohesion. He has represented Cypriot Rotary youth at conferences in Cyprus, Armenia, and Lebanon.
At the same time, he is actively involved in the student movement through the student organisation Anagennisi (ΔΗ.ΠΑ.Κ.Φ. Αναγέννηση), serving as President at the University of Cyprus (2024–2026) and as National Coordinator of Anagennisi Cyprus (2025–2026).
