Katia Takkou is a certified Drama Therapist and Musician with over six years of experience in Music
Education and Drama Therapy. She has worked with diverse groups, including children, adolescents, and
adults, offering therapeutic interventions tailored to their emotional, psychological, and learning needs.
Her experience spans from freelancing in private practice to working in educational institutions, mental
health clinics, and social innovation projects in Cyprus and the UK.
Katia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the European University Cyprus and a Master’s degree in
Drama Therapy from Anglia Ruskin University in the UK. She has worked as a drama therapist in various
settings, including schools, dementia care centers, mental health clinics, and rehabilitation programs for
adolescents with delinquent behavior. Additionally, she has experience as a project manager in the field
of social innovation, collaborating with international partners on projects related to mental health,
education, and social inclusion.
With strong communication, leadership, and creative problem-solving skills, Katia is passionate about
using drama and music as tools for self-expression, healing, and empowerment. She continuously
expands her knowledge through training and seminars on mental health, therapy techniques, and
personal development.
