From 28 to 31 August 2025, the National Workshop of the ’’EUYOUSPORT’’ project (European Youth and Sport Together) for Finland took place in Helsinki, aiming to amplify the voice of young people in sport. The participants included young athletes, volunteers, coaches, and university students active in the sports field.
The Cyprus Youth Council was represented by Doxia Mina, a Non-Formal Education Trainer and member of the CYC’s Pool of Trainers, who delivered an experiential workshop on youth participation in civic life. During her session, she highlighted CYC’s work on the topic and shared good practices from Cyprus.
The ’’EUYOUSPORT’’ project, coordinated by ENGSO Youth with partners including the Cyprus Youth Council, promotes the development of mechanisms for youth participation in decision-making processes within sports organisations, encouraging their meaningful youth involvement in sports governance structures.
The workshop was hosted at the offices of the Finnish Olympic Committee, located at Helsinki’s historic Olympic Stadium. A big thank you to our project partner, the Finnish Olympic Committee (Suomen Olympiakomitea – tag) , for their warm hospitality and excellent cooperation/collaboration!
