The Board of the Cyprus Youth Council, based on Article 15 paragraph A’ of the CYC Statute, announces the 21st Annual General Assembly, which will take place on Saturday, 29 November 2025, from 09:00 to 17:00 at Νicosia (exact venue to be confirmed).
Please note that Full Members will be able to attend the General Assembly with a maximum number of two (2) persons, while Associate and Collaborating Members with one (1) person.
Schedule for the Annual General Assembly:
- Discussion and approval of the Annual Activity Report of the Board
- Presentation of CYC’s international activity
- Discussion and approval of the financial accounts for the year ended 31/8/2025
- Evaluation and approval of the applications for new member organisations and loss of the Membership status(a)
- Discussion and adoption of policy papers(b)
- Elections for President, Vice Presidents, and Board Members(c)

(a) Applications and criteria for Full and Connected Member Organisations
The General Assembly will offer the opportunity to youth NGOs to apply to become Connected Member Organisations of the CYC. Also, youth NGOs that are already Connected Member Organisations can apply to become Full Member Organisations. Applications and criteria can be found HERE.
The deadline for applications is the 29th of October 2025
(b) Information on submitting Policy Papers
The CYC Member Organisations can submit policy papers to be considered for approval by the General Assembly. Organizations wishing to submit documents must send them either in Greek or in Turkish, with the mandatory requirement that they be accompanied by a translation into English. Once the documents have been submitted within the prescribed deadline, they will be circulated to all organizations in order for the established procedure for the submission of Policy Documents to be followed. For the purposes of the smooth functioning of the procedures, you may consult the Policy Documents Regulations HERE.

(c) Elections for President, Vice Presidents, and Board Members
Elections for the President, Vice Presidents (2) and Board Members (6) will be held at the General Assembly. Nominations can be submitted by Full Member Organisations only. All the nominations must be submitted by filling this application form HERE together with a short biography of the candidate and a motivation letter.
*at least 30 days (30 October 2025) before the General Assembly.
According to Article 11, paragraph H’ of the CYC Statute: “Any Member Organisation intending to run for any position in the upcoming elections of the C.Y.C. shall settle its financial obligations by no later than the next working day following the final day for the submission of candidacies” (October 31st 2025).
The candidates must not have turned 33 years old by the date of the General Assembly

- Why should you get elected?
- Why should member organisations choose you?
All Member Organisations of CYC must fill a form describing the activities they organised or took part in 2025 by the 29th of October 2025. Please find the relevant document HERE.
Finally, Member Organizations are hereby reminded that, if they so wish, they may exercise their right to review the minutes of the meetings of the Board of Directors, following the submission of the relevant authorization form, available , available HERE, duly signed by the President and/or Secretary General of the organisation, and submitted no later than two (2) days prior to the requested meeting, in order to allow sufficient time for the study of the minutes. submitted in advance. To avoid undue delays and to ensure the orderly and timely processing of requests, Member Organizations are kindly requested to submit their applications within a reasonable timeframe prior to the General Assembly.
