A Look into the future: A discussion on Youth, Cyprus and Europe
On 9th of September, Young Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots had the opportunity to discuss with the President of the European Parliament Mrs.Roberta Metsola and the President of the House of Representatives of Cyprus Mrs.Annita Demetriou.
Members of the Board of CYC attended the Live Discussion, the President Maria Kola, the Vice President A’ Pantelitsa Evagorou, the Public Relations Secretary Gavrilis Efstratiou, the Programme Development Secretary Antonis Tamp, and the Secretary General Christina Yiannapi, who had the chance to be part of the dialogue. Also, part of the dialogue was our elected Member to the Board of the European Youth Forum, Christiana Xenofontos and the National Citizens’ Representative on the Conference on the Future of Europe and former President of the CYC, Antonis Kourras.
The dialogue focused around shaping the future of Europe
and Cyprus
, the Energy Crisis, the war in Ukraine, Gender Equality and Youth participation.
Young Cypriots have raised their voice & posed important questions in a discussion, which was held on behalf of the European Parliament Office in Cyprus.
We would like to thank Mrs.Roberta Metsola and Mrs.Annita Demetriou for giving the opportunity to young people to participate in such an inspiring discussion, and to the European Parliament Office in Cyprus for the organisation of the event.
