On the 28th of April, YEU Cyprus will join the Pancyprian cleaning movement Let’s Do It Cyprus. We will organize a clean up of the Ag.Sozomenos area in Nicosia.

Agios Sozomenos is located between the areas of Geri and Potamia. The village, after 1963, lies in ruins and has remained abandoned. Nevertheless, some buildings stood the edge of time, such as the church of Agios Sozomenos, the Gothic church of Agios Mamas of the 15th century and the Primary School of the village. The cleaning campaign will take place in the surroundings of these buildings in order to keep them clean for visitors.

All volunteers will meet up at our offices at YEU Cyprus at 10:00 o’clock where we will conveniently carpool all together and leave for Ag.Sozomenos. Bags and gloves will be kindly provided by the Let’s Do It Cyprus campaign. We will also have a picnic/potluck at 13:30 to 14:30 so have in mind to bring a dish or food to share with the other volunteers. At the end of our cleaning session we will be offering free lemonades to all our volunteers for their hard work!
