The 4th Youth Summit of Africa Union – European Union held between 9-11 October 2017 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
More than 120 young people from 35 Countries had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences, on topic related directly to youth in both continents. The recommendations of the youth incorporated in The Abidjan Declaration, which will be delivered and be a base for discussion for the 5th African Union – European Union Heads of States Summit, in Abidjan the 29-30 of November 2017.
Cyprus was represented in the 4th Youth Summit by the Secretary General of Cyprus Youth Council.Συμβούλιο Νεολαίας Κύπρου.Kıbrıs Gençlik Konseyi, mr. Nicolas Christofi in the thematic “Business, Job Creation and Entrepreneurship” and the Secretary General of the Νεολαία Οικολόγων-Young Cyprus Greens, ms. Maria Kola participating in the discussion on “Environmental Preservation and Climate Change”. More topics were discussed as following “ Education and Skills”, Governance, Political and Democratic Inclusion and Activism”, “Peace and Security, Including Countering Violent Extremism and Radicalisation” and “Culture and Arts”.
