The second call forapplicationsfor the participation in theIDEAProgramme – Innovate.Develop.Excel.Accomplish is open until February 15th 2017.

IDEA Programme – Innovate.Develop.Excel.Accomplish is an integratedaccelerator / incubator programme for the development of startups in Cyprus, with total duration of up to 9 months. It is a Corporate Social Responsibilityinitiative of the Bank of Cyprus and of the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM).

Along with Bank of Cyprus and CIIM, the programme is supported pro bono by its strategic partners, MTN, Innovation / LeoBurnett, Deloitte and L.P Demetriades Law Office, via the provision of free consulting services to the teams that participate in the programme.

Teams can participate in the programme (consisting of 2 to 5 persons),as long as they have a creative and innovative idea,coming from any economic sector, with a global outlook.

Up to 8 teams will be selected by an Evaluation Committee, formed by professionals experienced in the creation, management and investment in start-ups, both from Cyprus and abroad.

The selected teams will be hosted in the historical building of the Bank of Cyprus at Phaneromeni, in a specially designed modern space for a period of up to 9 months. The IDEA programme will also provide free of charge, substantive business training and consulting for both the first stage of 3 months (Stage A: Accelerator), as well as throughout the programme. It will also provide access to a network of prominent mentors as well as other supportive services, such as networking with potential investors.

In addition, the Bank of Cyprus will provide the total amount of €10,000 to cover the costs that arise at the initial stages of the development on an innovative business. The amount will be granted to the teams that will succeed to progress to the second stage (Stage B: Incubator) of the programme and at the same time, provided they become registered as a legal entity.

The IDEA programme will acquire a5% share capital in each company, ensuring in this way the continuity of the programme for the support of new Teams each year.
