It is my honor to serve in the position of the Executive Secretariat of the CYC, I recognize the responsibility that this post holds and I look forward for the next 2 productive years. Nikolas Athinis is a graduate of The Grammar School of Nicosia, with further education in the field of Criminology and postgraduate studies in Business Administration. His interest in the community was first at a young age through his engagement with scouting at the 71st Scout Scout Group of Kaimakli, where he serves until today and represents the C.Y.C. He is the founder of the Cypriot and Hellenic Society of Huddersfield, where he presided for two years. He was also elected as president of the students of the Mediterranean Institute of Management for the year 2015 – 2016. Since 2015, he has been actively involved with the NGO PlanBe, Plan It Be It. He is also an active member of Global Shapers, International Relations Officer of Round Table 2 Cyprus and the Cyprus Crime Association. His first involvement with the C.Y.C., began with his participation in various C.Y.C. activities and afterwards more actively as a Youth Ambassador of the Structured Dialogue since 2016. He has participated in the various consultations and actions for the active participation of young people in the civil society, in Cyprus and abroad, and he has also participated the Youth European Council, held in Malta in March 2017.
